JRCALC Clinical Guideline Updates
The JRCALC Committee met earlier this year to discuss recommendations aimed at ensuring our guidelines provide up-to-date clinical information. The clinical update 3:25 includes several important updates to existing guidelines.
These updates were available on the app on from 10 December 2025.
NEW guidance:
- End of Life Care – Paediatric
- Fentanyl drug monographs (IN,IV/IO and oromucosal)
Key reviews and updates have been made to:
- End of Life Care – Adults
- Acute Coronary Syndrome
- Safeguarding Children
- Abdominal Pain
- Vaginal Bleeding during Pregnancy up to 20 weeks Gestation
- New wording around pregnancy has been added in medical emergencies in adults and children, trauma emergencies in adults and children and the maternity overview guidance.
Medication updates include:
- Glyceryl Trinitrate
- Ondansetron
- Metoclopramide
- Diazepam (rectal and IV)
- Ibuprofen
- Entonox
FENTANYL
